Acrylic-Based Waterborne Penetrating Primer for Sports Surface Systems

HQN Acrylic Primer (HQN AC PR) is a water-based acrylic penetrating primer formulated to prepare and seal asphalt and concrete substrates prior to the application of acrylic sports coating systems. It improves adhesion, reduces substrate porosity, and ensures uniform performance of subsequent coating layers.

Preparation Guidelines:

• Surface must be clean, dry, and structurally sound
• Remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, algae, or any contaminants
• Repair cracks, undulations, or damaged areas prior to application
• Ensure proper curing of new concrete (minimum 21–28 days)
• Light mechanical cleaning or water jetting is recommended for best results

• Stir thoroughly before use

✅ Recommended Mixing Ratio:

• Primer : Water = 1 : 1 (standard)

⚠️ Avoid over-dilution to maintain adequate binding and sealing properties.

• Apply using roller, brush, or spray equipment
• Ensure uniform application without puddling
• Allow primer to fully penetrate the substrate
• Do not allow film formation on the surface
• Allow to dry completely before applying next layer
